-Description

Patek Philippe is a watchmaker founded in Geneva in 1839

The company's watches are made with uncompromising quality and technical expertise.

Patek Philippe's independence as a family-owned business and the reliability that all its watches can be repaired make it an asset that can be passed on from generation to generation.

In addition to being the world's premier manufacture, the brand is synonymous with luxury watchmaking due to the extremely small number of watches produced.

It is not an exaggeration to say that it establishes a special position among them though it is called the world 3 major brands or the big 3 together with Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet.

The Calatrava collection has its roots in the Ref. 96, introduced in 1932.

The name "Calatrava" comes from the brand's emblem, the Croix de Calatrava. The name "Calatrava" comes from the Croix de Calatrava, which is also the emblem of the brand.

Ref. 3579 is a very rare Calatrava model with a screw-back stainless steel case.
There are no precious metal cases of gold or platinum, and this watch is known among collectors as a stainless steel-only model.

Ref.3579 was produced only for about five years, from 1969 to 1974.

The C-line tonneau case with flat bezel is both functional and beautiful.

It is a departure from Patek's traditional watch design. The bezel, lugs, and sides of the case are all finished in different ways, which is a part of Patek's typical delicacy.

The dial is a sunray-finished blue dial. A slightly toned blue colour, described as NIght-blue on the Extract from the Archives.

It is in very good condition for a blue dial of the old age, and the vivid hue can be seen.

The combination of multi-faceted three-dimensional bar indexes and pencil hands is highly legible.

The movement is a manual wind Cal.23-300 PM.
This caliber is a successful thinner version of the Cal. 10-200 and uses a gyromax balance, making it the thinnest Patek 10" (23 mm in diameter) movement.

It has a reputation for its high degree of perfection, and its quality is proven by the fact that it was used for about 22 years since its first appearance in 1956.

PM stands for Piton Mobile, meaning that the mustache holder is movable, improving shock resistance and ease of maintenance.

Comes with Extract from the Archives.
